Violence: The loss of a child causes mounting tension, discussions about accidental death or foul play, and emotional distress. A married couple argues and the wife accuses her husband of negligence. A child plays with a toy gun. In the Home Video featurette, The Way Home - The Inspirational True Story, a car accident involving a dog is mentioned.

Sexual Content: A husband and wife kiss.

Language: Infrequent mild profanities are heard. Terms of deity are used as expletives, as well as in prayers.
