When Nic Eastman (Brenton Thwaites) is secretly interrogated by Dr. Wallace Damon (Laurence Fishburne), the teen is told by the scientist wearing a contamination suit that he has heard "the Signal." But Nic has no notion of what that means, or any memory of an alien encounter.
