Why Is Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Rated PG-13?
Violence: Frequent battles scenes feature hand-to-hand combat, knives, darts, swords, crossbows, whips and various other weapons. Many people are killed with these implements and some attacks depict blood. The most intense scenarios include a man being impaled on a long spear and men shot with steel-like arrows (one of whom is shown with the darts protruding from his chest and abdomen while he is still alive). Men are slashed across the throat and chest. Characters are in constant peril. Snakes are often shown and one is cut open to remove a blood-covered object. Skeletons are seen.
Sexual Content: A close-up of a woman’s cleavage is shown. Females wear skimpy costumes. A few sexual references are heard, including a veiled remark about male anatomy.
Language: No profanities were noted.
Alcohol and Drugs: A principle character and his friends are briefly seen intoxicated.
