Why Is Mr. Bean’s Holiday Rated G?
This comedy features a bumbling man who wins a trip to the south of France, but finds his vacation fraught with a myriad of obstacles of his own making. Content concerns include the depiction of a man who appears to be committing suicide by jumping from a low bridge into a river. People slap each other on two occasions for comedic effect. Another man is seen from behind using a urinal (no nudity is shown). A man burns his finger with a cigarette lighter in an attempt to stay awake while driving. A big dog surprises a man. Some explosions are seen on a movie set. Two uses of “darn” are noted. Finally, Mr. Bean does get himself into some stressful situations, which may leave very young viewers momentarily concerned.
