How We Determine Our Grades

Why Is Larry Crowne Rated PG-13?

Violence: A married couple argues.

Sexual Content: A married man’s habit of viewing pornography is discussed from a negative perspective and causes marital discord (we briefly see photos of women in tiny bikinis on a computer screen). A married woman passionately kisses and embraces another man. A woman shows off a tattoo on her lower back.

Language: One sexual expletive is heard. Profanities, crude anatomical and scatological terms are used infrequently.

Drugs/Alcohol: Characters are shown with tobacco pipes in their mouths (no smoke is seen). A character drinks to relieve stress and suffers with a hangover the next day.
