Okay, first things first... watching an IMAX movie at home--regardless of the size of your television set, capabilities of your projector, or quality of your sound system--will never compensate for the gigantic 8-storey viewing surface and omnipresent killer sounds found in an IMAX theater.

An educational, awe-inspiring, collection of DVDs (also available on VHS) featuring mission footage shot by shuttle astronauts over a period of 15 years. Except for Blue Planet’s few short scenes of thunder, lightning, and the aftermath of natural disasters (which may be disconcerting to some younger viewers), there should be no concerns for family viewing.
