Why Is Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance Rated PG-13?
Violence: Characters are shot, dropped from heights, run over, crushed, disintegrated and consumed by flames. A man spits a stream of blood out of his mouth after being injured. Characters are whipped with chains, kidnapped and roughly pushed around. One character holds a knife to another’s throat. Men prepare to behead a character. A man steals drugs from a hospital. Characters ride without helmets and also sit on the open bed of a truck that is driving down the highway.
Sexual Content: A woman talks about conceiving the devil’s child.
Language: The script includes several profanities, a crude sexual slang and a strong sexual expletive.
Alcohol / Drug Use: A character drinks frequently from a flask. He and others also drink wine. Secondary characters smoke. A man consumes numerous prescription pills he has stolen from a hospital pharmacy. A boy is subdued with an injection.
Other: Scatological humor is portrayed when a man urinates with fiery results. A satanic ritual is portrayed. A man casually administers a Christian communion to another character.
