Why Is Flicka 2 Rated PG?
Flicka 2 carries on the tale of the high-spirited mustang, but transports the horse to a different setting and a new family. Carrie loves to skateboard and engages in reckless stunts, like tailgating on busy city streets. Rebellion fuels her disregard of rules and regulations, which leads to telling lies, sneaking out at night, trespassing and stealing. An animal’s life is in jeopardy from perilous situations (including snakebite) and is threatened with being "put down." A character is thrown from and then rolled over by a horse. A brief scene in a TV show portrays a man getting tackled and punched. Cowboys are shown drinking from bottles (although the beverage appears to be beer, no depictions of drunkenness are shown.) An overweight dog has a flatulence problem. Farm animals frighten a character. A woman is nearly hit by a car. A teen couple kisses.
