Why Is Exodus Fall Rated Not Rated?
Violence: Adults, including a married couple, argue. On several occasions a woman strikes her husband and her children (sometimes her victims grab her hands to restrain her). A mentally challenged boy is teased, bullied, locked in a closet and has personal possessions destroyed. (When upset, he sometimes hits himself.) Teens help another escape from a mental institution. The death of a soldier, and the sorrow of his friends and family, is discussed. An automobile accident results in injuries.
Sexual Content: References are made to dates that include sexual relations. Sexual sounds are overheard. An unmarried man and woman (seen with bare shoulders) are in bed together. A boy strips down to his underwear and pretends to be drunk. A menstruating girl cleans her underwear in a sink (some blood shown).
Language: Some mild and moderate profanities are heard. Terms of Christian deity are used as expletives.
Alcohol / Drug Use: A mother constantly smokes and drinks. A driver is shown drinking alcohol.
Other: Teen characters steal. A girl squats behind a bush to urinate. A pet dies. A teen drives without a license.
