Ali Rose (Christina Aguilera) leaves her small town in search of fame and fortune in the big city. Once in LA, she happens upon a burlesque club owned and operated by a former (and aging) showgirl (Cher). Smitten by the glitter and lights, she tries to audition for a place on the stage.
