This film is the directorial debut of Goro Miyazaki, the son of Hayao Miyazaki. Their company, Studio Ghibli, created the anime movies Ponyo, My Neighbor Totoro, Howl’s Moving Castle and Spirited Away. Dragons and humans interact in other films too, such as Eragon, How to Train Your Dragon and Dragonball- Evolution.
