The Adventures of Pinocchio (1996) is a live action adaptation of this fairy tale. Jonah: A Veggie Tales Movie features another character that spends time in the belly of a whale. Being turned into a four-legged animal to change errant behavior is also the method used in The Emperors New Groove.

Walt Disney’s classic tale of Pinocchio celebrates its 70th anniversary with this 2-disc set available in a combo DVD and Blu-ray disc package. Full of more bonus extras than Geppetto’s shop has clocks and toys, fans of the film can enjoy an alternate ending, deleted scenes, a deleted song (Honest John), a making-of documentary (No Stings Attached), featurettes (The Sweat Box: Walt Disney’s Artist Review Process and Geppettos Then and Now) and a music video (When You Wish Upon A Star). These editions also offer an isolated audio track, interactive games (Pinocchio’s Puzzles Game, Pinocchio’s Matter of Facts and More About Pinocchio’s World), along with text, photo and art galleries.
The DVD edition provides audio tracks in DEHT 5.1(English, French and Spanish) and Mono (English). The Blu-ray version offers audio tracks in DTS HD 7.1 (English), Mono (English) and Dolby Digital Surround (English, French and Spanish).
