The 1939 version of The Four Feathers offers the same tale with much less violence. Also set in the 1890’s, Gandhi is a biographical film of a privileged, English-educated Indian lawyer who promoted peaceful protest as a way to initiate change. Heath Ledger plays the role of a poor peasant’s son who dreams of armor and jousting in A Knight’s Tale.
