A young boy and a spirited Arabian stallion are shipwrecked on an idyllic island in The Black Stallion. In another horse/girl movie, the daughter of a widower has to convince her father to let her ride in an upcoming race in Virginia’s Run. In the film Dreamer: Inspired By a True Story, Cale Crane talks her father into rescuing an injured racehorse and nursing it back to health.
