Two spoofs that manage to create humor without becoming humiliating or demeaning are Galaxy Quest (which pokes fun at the popularity of the Star Trek franchise) and Shrek (which plays with fairytale characters).
Home Video Extra Features
Epic Movie makes it’s big DVD review in either the original theatrical version (rated PG-13) or an Unrated Edition. Bonus materials for the theatrical version include a writer/director commentary, casting sessions, a gag reel and alternate ending. The unrated edition offers all the above plus Adam Campbells tour of the Willy Wonka Factory, and several featurettes. Audio tracks are available in English (Dolby Surround 5.1), Spanish (Dolby Surround) and French (Dolby Surround), with subtitles in English, French and Spanish.

Rod Gustafson has worked in various media industries since 1977. He founded Parent Previews in 1993, and today continues to write and broadcast the reviews in newspapers, on radio and (of course) on the Internet. He currently serves as the President of the Alberta Association for Media Awareness, a provincial non-profit society. He also authors a regular column for
