Autism is also portrayed in Adam. Henry Thomas, who plays Tim in this film, got an early start in the movies when he starred as a child who befriends an alien in E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial. Amanda Seyfried can be seen in the movie musical Mamma Mia, Channing Tatum acts and dances in Step Up, and Richard Jenkins (who plays Johns father) steals the show in The Visitor.
