Another film version of this story was made in 1948, with Vivien Leigh playing Anna Karenina. The creative team behind this adaptation has taken much artistic license with the story and its setting, much like 2007 movie Marie Antoinette. Director Joe Wright also worked with actress Keira Knightley on Pride & Prejudice.
